What makes SayWrite different
Most popular dictation apps either send your voice to a cloud service or offer local speech with cloud AI on top. Wispr Flow, for example, says its transcription always happens in the cloud. (Source: Wispr Flow privacy policy) SayWrite keeps both halves on your Mac: speech recognition on the Apple Neural Engine, and AI Polish on Apple Intelligence's on-device model or a model you run in Ollama or LM Studio at 127.0.0.1. The trade-offs are honest ones: English only, Mac only, and no team admin features yet.
